The East Africa Bribery Index, released last week, showed that Uganda is the second most corrupt country in East Africa with a corruption prevalence of 33 per cent after Burundi, whose corruption prevalence is 36.7 per cent. Kenya came third and Rwanda the least corrupt. The survey measures bribery levels in the private and public sectors in the entire East African region.
